In this fast, a bath is done by adding sesame seeds to the water and only sesame seeds are used in the diet. Ganesh ji is also worshiped with sesame and sesame laddus are offered to him. It is also known as Til Chaturthi. By fasting, all kinds of troubles end and one gets happiness and prosperity in life. There is a ritual of listening to the story after worship. Then after seeing the moon and worshiping it, Paran will be done. Moonrise (moon sighting) will happen after 8.23 pm. Astrologer Vimal Jain told that the Chaturthi date of Magh Krishna Paksha will be from 12.10 a.m. on Tuesday to 2.32 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11. Moonrise will be at 8.23 pm. He is worshiped by offering Arghya after moon rise.
There will be a long queue in Bada Ganesh temple
Varanasi. There will be a long queue of visitors at Bada Ganesh Temple located in Lohatia. The priests told that the doors of the temple will open from 4.30 am after the big Ganesh is coated and decorated. After this the period of darshan worship will begin.
