Kanpur News: A police inspector who had gone to visit the Vankhandeshwar temple fell unconscious on the floor. He died due to a serious head injury.

On the fourth Monday of Sawan in Sisamau police station area of Kanpur, a sub-inspector who went to visit the Vankhandeshwar temple fainted and fell on the floor. He was admitted to Hallet after suffering serious head injuries where he died during treatment. Sub-inspector Pankaj Kumar Rathi, originally a resident of Tabibpur Dhundhli in Bijnor, was currently posted at Armapur police station. In the city, he lived in the residence located in the Sisamau police station premises. He is survived by his wife Vidhi and father Raghuveer Singh Rathi, a retired sub-inspector. Brother-in-law Paras Singh said that he was an alcoholic. He was suffering from liver disease for the past one and a half years.
Due to this he was suffering from depression. Due to illness he was not going to duty for about a month. On Monday he fainted and fell in Vankhandeshwar temple. He was taken to Hallet where the doctor declared him dead. The family members who arrived after the accident took his body to his ancestral home after postmortem. Police station in-charge Himanshu Chaudhary said that Pankaj was ill for many months. The postmortem report states that the cause of death was head injury.
