Nagaur. More than half of India’s population lives in villages. But even today, in terms of village development, the villages are far behind the cities. Agriculture is the main source of employment in rural areas. But how to develop the village into a modern village. We are going to inform you about this modern interesting model. A schoolgirl from Kuchaman in Nagaur district has prepared a model of this.

Deepika belongs to Mangalpura village of Nagaur. She is a class 9 student. Presently he is studying in Government Higher Secondary School Magalpura Ladnun. He has defined the modern village through the model.
Made model of modern village
Deepika told that our science teacher Neelu ji helped in making the model of this modern village. He helped in making the model of a modern village. Under his guidance, a model of a modern village was developed.
This is how a modern village should be
Deepika told that there should be all kinds of facilities in a modern village.
(1) Advanced agriculture system- For the development of agriculture, small farms should be merged to make big areas. Use of collective farming, organic and chemical fertilizers, use of advanced seeds for agriculture and use of modern irrigation facilities should be done. There should be proper arrangement for storage of produce, arrangement for sale of produce with cooperative and government assistance.
(2) Residential facilities- The houses in the village should be kutcha or pucca, away from the animals but should be clean. Along with this, there should be proper arrangement of bathroom, toilet etc. in the house.
(3) Drinking water system- Wells, ponds, babri etc. should be renovated for clean drinking water and they should be protected from contamination.
(4) Health related facilities- There should be arrangement of first aid center and doctor in the village and there should be provision of medicines as per requirement. So that the health problems of the villagers can be treated at the village level itself.
(5) Education system- Efforts should be made to give education to every child in the village. There should be awareness among the villagers towards girl child education. There should also be a system for adult education.
(6) Transport facilities- There should be roads for proper arrangement of transport in the village so that the village can be connected to nearby villages, towns and district headquarters.
It is also necessary in modern village
There should be arrangement of electricity for energy in the villages. If possible, alternative energy should also be used. The villagers should have awareness about the environment. Industrial Development- Agriculture based industries like dairy industry, poultry industry etc. should be developed in the village.
Cottage industries can be developed in the village, the members of the panchayat and the sarpanch should be aware and active about the development of the village, so that the villagers can get cleanliness, drinking water, health and security related arrangements in the villages.
Administrative transparency should be increased in Gram Panchayat. There should be facility of Gramin Bank and Co-operative Bank etc. in the village. So that the villagers can get financial facilities. This model was selected at the state level – some time ago, an exhibition of models made by the students was held at Ratan Behan Government Secondary School, Nagaur. The team from Jaipur selected this model for demonstration at the state level.
