A very surprising case has come to light in China. Here a man met his family after 34 years, but now after just one year he became disillusioned and has broken relations with them again.
According to the report of Chinese newspaper South China Morning Post, 37-year-old Yu Baobao was known as Li Qiang until the age of 34. In September last year, he came to know about his real family and his real name. However, now due to a dispute over money, he has decided to break ties with the family. Yu himself gave this information on social media.
Kidnapped at the age of 2
In fact, when Yu was just two years old, he was kidnapped from his grandparents’ house. Human traffickers sold him to a rich family in China’s Henan province. According to Baobao, the family did not treat him well and often beat him. At the age of five he was told that he was adopted. At the age of 11, he was sent to another family. However, Yu left that family too and became a nomad.
When Yu turned 19, he went to Shanghai and then Beijing for work. He started living as a delivery rider in Beijing. Yu told the Chinese newspaper Dahe Daily that he never gave up searching for his family. When the police informed him about the DNA match, his first wish was to rest his head in his mother’s lap and have a ‘good sleep’.
The story of Yu’s reunion with his estranged family soon went viral. Netizens urged him to start live streaming on social media so that he can earn some money and help his divorced parents and two younger brothers. Within no time, Yu’s videos started going viral and he started earning a lot. Under pressure from his family, Yu decided to donate 60 percent of his total earnings.
The fight over money soon started
However, problems soon started. Yu alleges that despite giving so much money, he was not getting respect in the family. According to Yu, the brothers told him that they were doing him a ‘favor’ by ‘accepting’ him into the family. He also alleged that a brother even threatened to beat him, calling him adopted.
Serious allegations made against mother
Yu says that even after meeting after so many years, his mother still respected her other two sons more and this broke his heart. His allegation is that she is just using him to extort money. He has now removed all joint content with his family on social media. At the same time, his brothers have also removed all the references related to him.
Yu says he now wants to save his money and use it to track down the human traffickers who have brought misery to his life. He wants to see him behind bars.
