Generally birds rarely attack humans to snatch their food. But a man from Rill, Wales, UK was shocked when he was attacked by a psycho seagull diving from above. This bird had attacked the man with the aim of stealing his cheese packet. It was a matter of relief for this person that he did not suffer any physical harm due to this attack by the seagull.
Frank Jordan, 71, was taking out his trolley from a supermarket when the aggressive bird swooped in to snatch his cheddar cheese. The next thing he saw was a seagull with cheese in its beak, who tore the packet and took out a piece.
Frank said, “I left the store with my trolley of groceries, carrying a block of cheese. “The next thing I knew, he took my cheese into his mouth, took a big piece in his beak.”
Panicked Frank took his purchased items back inside the store in Rhyl, North Wales, to alert staff and warn them of the “scary” seagulls. But despite this, she was disappointed when the supermarket staff could not offer her any assistance, not even replacing the cheese.
He said, “I was badly shaken by my fight with the seagull and it would have been nice to have been asked to have a drink and a seat and a block of cheese in exchange. I don’t know if I’m the first person to be attacked like this, it was scary.”
Frank said he has seen gulls pounce on other customers and said the store should post signs warning about ill-behaved birds. A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We are sorry that a disturbed neighbor snatched some food from a customer outside our store. “We invite the customer to contact us again so we can replace the stolen item.”
