According to the New York Post website, in February 1974, a 25-year-old girl named Mary Schlais was going from Wisconsin to Chicago for an art show. She was making this journey by taking lifts from people. But one morning his body was found by the police near Spring Brook Intersection. But recently, the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office team came in contact with the New Jersey Department of Genetic Genealogy and created a genetic profile using the hair. Through him, the search for the relatives of that unknown person started. Through this investigation, the police reached a woman with whom the DNA of that hair was matching. Then it was revealed that the man was the father of the woman who had murdered the girl in 1974.

The name of that man is Miller who lives in Minnesota. When the police first interrogated him, he said that he did not know anything about the murder. But when the DNA matched, he accepted the truth. Miller is now 84 years old. He told that when he saw Mary on the road, he gave her a lift and started making inappropriate demands. When Mary refused, he took out a knife and attacked her body. She died in this attack. Miller was running away leaving Mary on the road, when at the same time a car passed by, the person sitting in it saw all this. Fearing him, Miller quickly ran away leaving his hat there, due to which he could be arrested after so many years. Police say that for so many years Miller must have been living with the burden that the police might come to arrest him. Ultimately the police arrested him.
