Every employee chooses his own mode of commuting to office. Some people go to office in their own vehicles while others rely on public transport. Some people even hire a cab or auto for a month at a time, but till date you have rarely heard that someone goes to office by plane every day. Let us introduce you to a journalist who reaches office by taking a flight.
Usually, people use vehicles like metro, train or cab to go to office, but a reporter of Wall Street Journal, Chip Cutter, surprised people by telling that he takes a flight every day to go to office. The interesting thing is that because of this it does not put any financial burden on him, rather he says that it becomes cheaper for him.
Man goes to New York from Ohio
Reporter Chip Cutter reports that he flies from Ohio three times a week to work in New York. For this, he catches the flight at 6 in the morning and has to set an alarm for 4:15 in the morning. He was working from home during the pandemic and when he had to go to office in the year 2022, instead of staying in New York, he started taking a flight from Ohio to New York. The distance between the two cities is 900 kilometers and he travels this distance daily. Although his personal life has been affected by this, he says that it is cheaper for him than living in New York.
Traveling by flight is cheaper than staying!
Chip Cutter’s reasoning behind this is that if he had lived in a studio flat in New York, he would have had to pay $3,200 i.e. Rs 2,65,581 every month. In such a situation, the flight journey becomes cheaper for him and he is saving money. Earlier he used to stay in a high-end hotel in Manhattan, which was near his office, but here he was spending a good amount of money, while his food and drink were also affected. Let us tell you that another TikTok user Sofia Celentano had also told that she travels by plane to office.
