On Friday evening, information was received about something lying in a sack on the side of Kesaripur Road, about 200 meters along the Sidhauli Road in the Kotwali area. When police reached the spot and investigated, Mahant’s mutilated body was found in a sack, which was confirmed by calling Mahant’s family. The dead body is said to be about 4-5 days old. Kotwali in-charge Shailendra Srivastava said that the matter is being investigated.
