I was not getting any film offers⌠that was my source of income. I was running my house and my charitable foundation by earning money from my business and acting in films and appearing in events. Finally, Vivek completely devoted himself to his business as film offers dwindled. He told the Indian Express, âI was running a school in Vrindavan, helping cancer patients, so when my income from films started drying up, roles stopped coming, I knew I wouldnât be able to continue. Philanthropy is a part of my life, and I needed to be financially secure. I have never asked anyone for money, I didnât ask my father, so I wonât ask anyone else. Thatâs when I started actively doing business. Got into real estate, founded a few companies, a few technology companies that became very big. Today, I have invested in about 29 companies.â
Vivek Oberoi is now ruling OTT
In 2017, Vivek restarted his career through the web series Inside Edge. It again gave him recognition at the national level.
