Police is questioning a suspect after taking him into custody

New Delhi. A young man was stabbed to death in the Dangal Ground parking lot near Old Delhi Railway Station. The deceased has been identified as Gaurav Thakur (34). Police have sent the body for post-mortem and registered a case of murder. Police suspect that an acquaintance of his has killed him. Police are trying to identify the accused by examining CCTV cameras. Police have detained a suspect and are interrogating him.
The police officer said that at 7 am on Friday, information was received about the murder of a young man in the Dangal Ground parking. The police reached the spot and saw that the young man was lying in a bloody state on a cot in a room. There was a knife wound on the back of his head. The police took him to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. During the investigation, the police found food items near the cot. A chair was also kept nearby. The crime and forensic team collected many evidences from the spot.
The deceased’s maternal uncle Subhash Thakur alleged that around 10 o’clock at night, two-three people called him from his house and took him away. He told that Gaurav lived with his elder brother in Old Delhi’s Bagh Diwar, No. 9, while his parents live in Punjabi Bagh area. He used to supply cold drinks and water and had a shop in Chandni Chowk. After initial investigation, the police have suspected that some acquaintance has stabbed him to death.
