New Delhi. In a dispute over sleeping in a room in Palam Village police station area, a young man stabbed his friend to death. The deceased has been identified as Nitesh (22). Within a few hours of the murder, the police arrested Govinda Parmane (20) and recovered the knife used in the crime from him.
During interrogation, the accused told that on the night of the incident, Nitesh had come to his room with his female friend. They drank alcohol at night. At around four in the morning, Govinda asked Nitesh to leave, saying that he wanted to sleep. After an argument on this, a fight broke out between the two. Nitesh started beating Govinda as well as slapping him. Suddenly, Govinda took out a knife and attacked Nitesh, later he fled. The police took the body into custody and sent it to DDU Hospital for postmortem. The police is interrogating the accused.
South-West District Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohit Meena said that on Tuesday morning, Palam Village Police Station received information about the murder of a young man. The team reached Street No. 3, Mahavir Enclave, near Shiva Temple. The police recovered the body of the young man from the gallery of the house there. The young man was identified as Nitesh, resident of Street No. 4, Mahavir Enclave. The house owner Raju told that a young man named Govinda lives with him. The police started searching for him. Later the accused was arrested from Hamdard’s forest. During interrogation, accused Govinda told that he works at a dhaba.
