Laapata Ladies: The audience has been waiting for the film ‘Missing Ladies’ for a long time, directed by Kiran Rao. The film is ready for release on March 1. The trailer of the film has already been released which has increased the excitement of the audience. Apart from Nitanshi Goyal, Sparsh Srivastava, Pratibha Ranta, Chhaya Kadam, Ravi Kishan will also be seen playing powerful roles in the film.

Now Kiran Rao has revealed that Aamir Khan had also auditioned for ‘Missing Ladies’. Aamir wanted to play the same role in the film which Ravi Kishan has played. But Kiran rejected him. In an interview given to The Week, Kiran said- ‘Aamir and I discussed a lot whether he should play this role or not which has been played by Ravi Kishan.’

Kiran told, ‘Aamir said that he likes that role very much and he really wants to do it. He auditioned and did a very good role but when I saw Ravi Kishan and compared both of them, I felt that Ravi Kishan breathed a different life into this role. He surprises you. Because you don’t know what to expect from them.

Kiran Rao further says, ‘When Aamir is in a role, he already creates an expectation for his character. It is known that he will do the same. But not so in Ravi’s case. In such a situation, Ravi can do this role better than him and perhaps I will not be able to do complete justice to him.

Let us tell you that with ‘Missing Ladies’ Kiran Rao has made a comeback in direction after a long time. This film of his has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions. The film also received a standing ovation after its screening at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2023.
