AAP Congress Meeting On Seat Sharing In Delhi Punjab Goa Haryana Over Lok Sabha Election 2024


INDIA Seat Sharing: The biggest question facing the opposition alliance ‘India’ amid the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections is regarding seat sharing. Meanwhile, the National Alliance Committee of Congress had a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for about two hours on Friday (January 12). Both parties said after the meeting that the talks were positive.

What was discussed?
Congress leader Salman Khurshid said after the meeting, “It is a good thing.” Progressing well. We are moving towards success. We will soon take a decision and inform our leaders.

Regarding seat sharing with AAP in Punjab, Khurshid said that whatever we do, we will do it together. There is an intention of the workers and the public. In such a situation, keeping all these in mind, we talk to the leaders and take decisions. Meanwhile, AAP leader Raghav Chadha said that the talks of alliance are going well.

However, no one in both the parties said anything about the seat sharing formula. Meanwhile, sources told that how many seats does AAP want in which state.

How many seats is AAP demanding?
Sources told ABP News that AAP wants to contest on 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab and 1 Lok Sabha seat of Chandigarh i.e. 8 to 9 seats out of total 14 seats. Out of 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, AAP wants to field candidates on four seats.

AAP wants one seat out of 26 seats in Gujarat. Also, AAP wants to contest on 1 seat out of 2 seats in Goa. Apart from this, AAP wants to field its candidates on 3 out of 10 seats in Haryana.

News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that Congress wants to contest Lok Sabha elections from North East Delhi, Chandni Chowk and New Delhi parliamentary seats.

CM Kejriwal’s Goa visit

Amidst the discussion on seats, AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will visit Goa on Thursday (January 18). Kejriwal will stay here till Saturday (January 20). his visit Lok Sabha Elections Will be about the preparations. This visit of CM Kejriwal was already going to happen but Republic Day Had to be postponed due to preparations.

Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Maan AAP claimed on Thursday (January 11) that AAP will win all 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai had also said that his party will contest elections in alliance with Congress in five states including Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Goa and Delhi.

A meeting was held recently regarding the National Alliance Committee of Congress and AAP seat sharing. AAP leaders Sandeep Pathak, Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj attended the meeting. Many leaders including Congress National Alliance Committee convenor Mukul Wasnik and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot participated. After this, both the parties reiterated the point of unity.

What issues will be discussed in the meeting of Alliance ‘India’
Major leaders of the constituent parties of the opposition alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (India) will hold an online meeting on January 13. In this, there will be discussion on strengthening the alliance, making strategy on seat sharing and appointing the coordinator of this alliance.
