Like the Kejriwal government, the Aam Aadmi Party has also demanded the central government to bring a scheme for women, so that half of the country’s population can be empowered. Regarding this, AAP’s chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said that Delhi’s son Arvind Kejriwal has moved towards women empowerment by announcing in the Delhi budget to give Rs 1,000 each to every sister above 18 years of age under the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana. A big step has been taken. Priyanka Kakkar said these things during a press conference at the party headquarters on Tuesday.

Priyanka Kakkar said, ‘Kejriwal government is already providing free water, electricity and the facility of traveling in buses, now getting Rs. 1000 more per month will increase the confidence of women and their worries about household expenses will also reduce. On the other hand, there is no plan regarding women empowerment in the budget of Modi government. Even after this, the country has accumulated a debt of about Rs 200 lakh crore. AAP’s advice is that the Modi government should stop filling the pockets of its friends and focus on women empowerment, because with the current policies of the Centre, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

Also said that on Monday, Delhi Finance Minister Atishi presented the 10th budget of Delhi in front of the country inspired by Ram Rajya. In this budget, every section of the society, from children to the elderly, was taken care of. This budget is more important because the central government does not provide mandatory funds to Delhi as per its constitutional right. Whereas the honest and hardworking people of Delhi are second in the entire country in terms of paying taxes. The Central Government only creates hurdles and obstacles in the work of Delhi. Sometimes they stop the funding of our schemes through their officers, and sometimes LG Saheb keeps our policy files with him for a long time or delays them. The BJP government at the Center and LG Saheb should now understand that CM Arvind Kejriwal is not going to stop, rather he is one who faces the challenges boldly.

Also said that we are definitely saddened by the fact that the schemes which could have been completed in 5 years are being completed in 9 years due to deliberate creation of hurdles by the Central Government. Priyanka Kakkar said that as a woman, there have been two main points for us in the Delhi budget this year. In which one target has been accomplished and we are about to complete the other. From 2014 to 2024, we have reduced malnutrition among the women of Delhi by 90 percent, which is a big thing.

We have achieved this feat with the help of 10,800 women working in Anganwadi centers in Delhi. We ensured that every pregnant and lactating woman reaches a high protein diet through the mid-day meal provided in schools. Attacking the BJP government, he said that Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee is not a phrase like that of Prime Minister Modi. More than the promises he made to the people, he has run many schemes for the people. This scheme announced in the budget was not included in our manifesto nor was it promised by us. Still, our government is going to give thousand rupees per month to empower women.
