Is Abha card made for free?

The Government of India had started the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission program in the year 2021. Under this, the government has launched Ayushman Bharat Health Account which is also called Abha Card. Abha card is a kind of health identity card. The way the government issues you more identity cards. Similarly, Abha card is also issued. It is a health card with a 14 digit identification number. Which has been issued by the government to promote digital health services.

Abha card contains complete information about your medical history. That is, if you want to get yourself treated. So there will be no need to take your documents with you. Only through Abha card will a doctor find out about your past medical history, disease history and medicines. The Government of India issues Abha card to everyone for free. No separate charge has to be paid for this.

If someone asks for money, complain here

Abha card is issued free of cost by the Government of India. No charge is taken from you for this. If you go to any common service center and get Abha card made. And there you are asked for money. So you can complain about this. For this, you can complain to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office of your area.
