When a youth named Rohit in Dabari area asked for the five thousand rupees he had lent back, the accused Pintu refused to return the money. He along with his companions attacked Rohit with lethal weapons. He and his companions attacked Rohit with a spade, knife and screwdriver more than 30 times. Many of the injuries were such that if they had hit Rohit even a little further or later, he would have died. Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two of Pintu’s companions Manish and Monu.

Amit Goyal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, said that the victim Rohit, a resident of Mahavir Enclave, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, told that a person named Pintu had borrowed Rs 5000 from him 7/8 months ago. He was not returning the money. The complainant asked for his money back from Pintu but Pintu refused to return the money, so they started quarreling among themselves. Thus, he started having enmity with Pintu. To take revenge, Pintu along with his other accomplices Sonu, Monu, Manish, Ankit hatched a conspiracy to murder the complainant.

On June 23, 24 at 4 pm, on the instructions of Pintu, his above-mentioned accomplices brutally attacked Rohit with sharp weapons i.e. knife, screw driver, ice pick and razor etc. After injuring the complainant multiple times, they fled from the spot. The injured Rohit was immediately rushed to DDU Hospital for treatment. 25-30 blows were inflicted on the chest and neck of the complainant.

Accused Manish and Monu were absconding since the case was registered in Daabdi police station. A team of SI Niranjan, SI Randhawa, ASI Mahesh, ASI Virendra, ASI Govind, ASI Hari Singh and Havildar Prashant under the leadership of ACP Naresh Kumar and Inspector Gulshan Yadav posted in the crime branch were searching for the accused. SI Randhawa laid a siege and arrested both Manish and Monu. Both are 22 years old. The accused were changing their address repeatedly to avoid their arrest.
