Prayagraj’s daughter Jhanvi Singh has received honor from PM Modi on the occasion of International Women’s Day. For the first time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored Prayagraj’s Jhanvi Singh with the National Writer Award at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. As soon as Janhvi touched the Prime Minister’s feet as a sign of respect when she reached to receive the award, the Prime Minister also reacted by touching Janhvi’s feet. The PM said, ‘No Baba, don’t touch my feet. Many congratulations to you.
Jhanvi Singh received the award from PM in the Heritage Fashion Icon category. After receiving the award, the PM told Jhanvi in front of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on the stage itself that India can enter the textile market in the whole world only with fashion. He doesn’t go alone. This is the era of readymade brands. Tell me something about yourself. On this, Jhanvi said that I want to take our ancient tradition forward in the new India through our culture, scriptures and rituals through sarees.
My request to everyone is that do not forget your culture, scriptures and values. You keep it with you. No matter how modern you become. Janhvi said that ‘India is a beautiful country and everything related to its culture and tradition is beautiful. My only endeavor is to bring forward this heritage and remember the roots of India through fashion like sarees.
