One of those actors was Jeevan who contributed to the film world for many years and then said goodbye to the world with a serious illness.

Family background of life
Omkar Nath Dhar was born on 24 October 1915 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, British India. After entering films, he was named Jeevan. Jeevan belonged to a Kashmiri Pandit family.
His grandfather was a governor in the British Indian government. Jeevanâs mother died when he was a child and when he grew up, his father also died. Jeevan married a girl from whom he had two sons, one of whom died but the other son is Kiran Kumar who is active in the film industry.
Struggle of life and first film
Due to the problems of life, Jeevan did not study much. But he was fond of acting since childhood. Due to this, he came to Mumbai but did not get any acting work. However, he got a job of pasting silver paper on reflectors in Mohan Sinhaâs studio.
After this, his luck slowly changed and he moved towards acting career. His first film came in the 50âs but he got recognition from Dev Anandâs film John Mera Naam (1970).
According to media reports, Jeevan had told in an interview that people had started considering him a real villain. Once while travelling by train, a woman had teased him because she considered him a real villain. Jeevan let her go thinking that his work is strong and hence people consider him a real villain.

Demise of life
In his career, Jeevan played the role of Narad Muni in about 40 films and people started considering him as the same. Jeevan is called the Narad Muni of Bollywood. Apart from this, he played the villain in all the films he did. According to media reports, Jeevan had a lung infection and it gradually increased so much that he started falling ill. Jeevan died on 10 June 1987 in Mumbai.
