Veteran actor Ranjit talked about parties in which he told who used to drink the most. How parties used to happen in those days and then what was the reaction of the person who drank the most. Let us tell you those stories too.
What was a Bollywood party like?
According to media reports, Ranjit told that in the 80’s, he and his wife used to stay alone in the house and the rest of the family used to stay somewhere else, so most of the stars used to party at Ranjit’s house every night. Ranjit told that according to his character, he had to act like drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes in the films but in real life he never touched any intoxicant.
Still, he used to host his friends with alcohol and cigarettes and this was his style. Ranjit told that stars like Sunil Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, Feroz Khan, Prem Chopra, Danny, Sanjay Khan, Amitabh Bachchan used to attend his parties but some stars did not drink alcohol while some drank a lot. Not only male actors used to attend these parties but actresses like Moushumi Chatterjee, Parveen Babi, Neetu Kapoor, Zeenat Aman also used to attend.
Rajesh Khanna aka ‘Kaka’ used to faint during his role
Ranjit told about Rajesh Khanna that he used to drink the liquor of 4-5 people at a time. He was more fond of drinking than eating and he used to drink a lot. It is said that Rajesh Khanna used to reach in the evening for the morning shift the next day during the shooting of the films but due to his popularity the filmmakers used to wait.
Ranjit had told that Rajesh Khanna was an open-hearted person and he was always happy. Ranjit says that sometimes Kaka used to drink so much that he would fall unconscious and sleep at his house. But when he used to shoot for the film, he would give perfect shots. In the party, we all used to dance, remember the past days and have a lot of fun. Those days will never return now but the memories will always remain.
