Jaya Bachchan further said, ‘Sometimes it feels that we have done path breaking, unique and brilliant work but the credit that you should have got was not enough. I am talking about identity here which was not appreciated. Then you think that this is your destiny.
Jaya Bachchan further said, ‘…but I will not say that it did not make any difference to me if I did not get credit for any of my films. I felt bad and that was not right either. My work was good in many such films but the credit I should have got was given to someone else.
Jaya Bachchan’s film career
Jaya Bachchan made her teenage debut with Satyajit Roy’s film Mahanagar (1963). After the age of 18, his film Guddi (1971) came which was a superhit. This film was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. After this, Jaya Bachchan has worked in about 60 films till now. Jaya Bachchan appeared in superhit films like Anamika, Zanjeer, Sholay, Abhiman, Mili, Parichay, Chupke Chupke, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Na Ho, Bawarchi.
