According to Poonam Pandey’s manager, the actress was suffering from cervical cancer and due to this she died. What is cervical cancer?

Cervical cancer develops in the cervix cells of women i.e. the lower part of the uterus. What are the symptoms of cervical cancer?

Health experts say that cervical cancer is caused by a special type of HPV and sexually transmitted infections. HPV is actually a group of human papilloma viruses in which more than 14 viruses can cause different types of cancer. Two types of this virus group can be said to be responsible for 70 percent of cervical cancer. However, the symptoms of cervical cancer are usually not very obvious and that is why it is difficult to identify early. Its symptoms include abnormal bleeding from the vagina, abnormal liquid discharge from the vagina, weight loss, persistent pain in the lower back and difficulty in defecation. Women usually do not pay attention to these symptoms and it becomes a serious form of cancer.

According to WHO, an estimated 6 lakh 4,000 new cases and 3 lakh 42 thousand deaths were reported in 2020. Let us tell you that cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women globally.
