The Muzaffarpur District Consumer Commission in Bihar has now issued a notice to the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification in the Adipurush film case. The Commission has taken this action while hearing the matter. In fact, the District Consumer Commission had earlier booked the film’s director Om Raut, producers Krishna Kumar, Prasad Sutar, Rajesh Nair, actors Saif Ali Khan, Prabhas, Devdutt Gajanan Nage and actress Kriti Sanon, Chairman cum Managing Director of T-Series Company and Retrofiles Company. Issuing notice to the Chairman-cum-Managing Director, he was ordered to appear before the Commission.
Regarding this, except Kriti Sanon, all the other opposition parties have given their written stand by appearing in the court through their advocates. In the Commission today, human rights advocate Subodh Kumar Jha, citing Section 5(b) of the Cinematograph Act 1952, urged the Central Board of Film Certification to make it an opponent in the case and issue a notice. Along with this there was a debate on this point.
Many advocates of Delhi and Mumbai High Court were present on behalf of the opposition. While SK Jha alone was presenting his case on behalf of the complainant. After vigorous debate, the commission approved the application. The commission has issued notice impleading the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification as an opponent in the matter. Along with this, instructions have been given to appear in the commission till 11th September.
Adipurush film is releasing on 16th June. In such a situation, the issue of notice at this time seems to be inauspicious for the film. Please tell that according to the complainant, the teaser of the film Adipurush, which was released, has wrongly depicted the origin of Valmiki Ramayana. Also Lord Ram, Hanuman and Mother Sita have been wrongly depicted.
