The race for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic session 2024-25 in Delhi University’s School of Open Learning started on Monday. Applicants interested in admission can apply online from SOL’s website https://sol.du.ac.in. Admission can be taken here till the end of July, after which the date will be extended with the approval of the Distance Education Board. If a student has taken admission in SOL and later he is allotted a seat in a regular college, then the remaining fee will be refunded after deducting five hundred rupees from the total fee.

Professor Payal Mago, Director of Campus of Open Learning, said that in the admission race that started in the morning, a total of 909 applicants registered from all over the country till the evening. Out of these, B.Com Honors has become the most popular course among the students. Maximum 200 registrations have been done in this. After this, registrations have been done in B.Com, BA English Honors, BA Program with Political Science, BA Program with History, and then BA Honors Psychology. Prof. Mago said that after paying the registration fee, the form and eligibility will be verified in the next three days, after which they will be given an online link to pay the course fee. On which they will be able to pay the fee. Only then their admission will be considered confirmed.

It is known that for the first time, armed forces, police forces and paramilitary forces and their children will get concession in fees which will be from 25 percent to 75 percent. Admissions in SOL are based on 12th marks, the educational qualification of each program is different. Since the number of seats is unlimited, about 1.5 lakh students take admission here, double the number of regular colleges.
