After Facebook Instagram Outage YouTube Users Report Problems With Streaming Uploading Videos


YouTube Outage: Amid disruptions on popular Meta social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram on Tuesday (March 5), internet users also reported problems with Google’s video streaming platform YouTube.

According to Internet traffic observer Down Detector, hundreds of YouTube users faced problems streaming and uploading videos on the platform.

On Tuesday, users of Facebook, Instagram, threads and messenger platforms complained of problems logging in and sending messages in many parts of the world including India. Meta spokesperson Andy Stone acknowledged the problem and said it had been resolved. He gave this information through a post on social media platforms X.

Netblocks reported problems in four platforms

According to an HT report, London-based internet monitoring firm NetBlocks said on The company, which advocates internet freedom, also said there was no sign of country-level internet blockages or filtering, which are typically imposed by governments.

Elon Musk taunted

The problem quickly became a hot topic on social media platforms and many funny memes started appearing. In one post, X boss Elon Musk sarcastically said, “If you are reading this post, it is because our servers are working.”

Meta’s status dashboard showed that the application programming interface for WhatsApp Business was also facing issues. There were about 200 reports of the WhatsApp outage on Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources, including users.
