Kangra: A video of Ravana from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh is going viral on social media. People are showering a lot of love after seeing the acting of the person who played Ravana in the video. His tremendous personality and excellent dialogue delivery convinced people. Many even said, this Ravana has failed the character of all the other Ravanas. In fact, in the Dussehra festival of Kangra, there is a cultural evening for 3 days, where performances are given by local artists.
But, this time there was a presentation which won everyone’s heart. On the last cultural evening of Jaisinghpur Dussehra Mahotsav, Kangra’s artiste Ramesh Kumar reached the stage as Lankapati Ravana. He started speaking dialogues of Ravana. The magic of his tall stature and powerful voice was such that everyone was surprised to see him. His presentation was very much liked by the people. Ramesh Kumar is a resident of Kangra and has been staging plays for many years.

Jaisinghpur SDM Sanjeev Thakur and Tehsildar Abhishek Bhaskar said that the purpose of this fair is to provide a platform to local artists, which we tried to do. We know that there is no dearth of art in Himachal, people have seen local artists performing it with their own eyes. We always try to bring forward good artists.

Ramesh Kumar, who won everyone’s heart with the character of Ravana, told that he is fond of acting since childhood. Whatever character he plays, he tries to play it with full dedication. Said, it is a great privilege for me that people like my acting. He has also thanked the local administration.
