Actually, a case has come to light where a pregnant woman going to Delhi after hearing the news of her father’s death from Kannauj gave birth to a child while experiencing labor pains in a roadways bus in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. As there were no women passengers in the roadways bus, the husband himself conducted the delivery of his wife. After the woman gave birth to the child in the roadways bus, the driver of the bus took the roadways bus to the district women’s hospital and both the mother and child were admitted to the hospital.

After the delivery of his wife in the roadways bus, Shivshant, a resident of Bhagwanpur village of Kannauj district, told that his wife Soni’s father had died in Delhi. After hearing the news of his father’s death, he was going to Delhi from Kannauj via Aligarh by boarding a roadways bus with his pregnant wife Soni. Then his pregnant wife started having labor pain on the Delhi Aligarh Kanpur National Highway. Seeing the pregnant woman having labor pain, the roadways bus driver stopped the bus on the side of the road. During this, seeing his wife writhing in pain in the bus, two female passengers present in the bus got scared and did not go to his wife writhing in pain. On not getting help from both the female passengers, he went to his wife writhing in pain and got his wife delivered himself. After his wife gave birth to a child in the roadways bus, the driver of the roadways bus, Samar Singh, hurriedly took the bus to the district women’s hospital. As soon as the news of the woman giving birth to a child in the roadways bus was received, the staff including the doctor reached inside the bus and the woman along with her child were admitted to the hospital to provide them health facilities.

Giving information, Dr. Deepti of Aligarh District Women’s Hospital said that a woman had delivered a baby in a bus. She was brought to the District Women’s Hospital. Both the baby and the mother are healthy. The roadways bus was going from Kannauj to Delhi. Then the woman delivered a baby in the bus. After the delivery, the bus was stopped in Aligarh. After which both the mother and the son were brought and admitted to the hospital.
