There was a demand for a separate state of Telangana for a long time. On 2 June 2014, Telangana came into existence as an independent state. According to statistics, the agricultural area of Telangana at the time of formation was 1.31 crore acres. At present, the agricultural area in the state has increased to 2.40 crore acres. The state is continuously making progress in the field of agriculture.
2.16 lakh crore rupees were spent on these schemes
According to media reports, the Chief Minister of Telangana told that lakhs of crores of rupees are being spent to strengthen the agriculture sector of the state. The state government has given a lot of money in only three schemes. Raibandhu, 24 hours free electricity, spent more than 2.16 lakh crores in the construction of irrigation projects. The state government is taking progress reports of these schemes.
