Gauhar/Delhi:- You must have eaten and seen many types of eggs. But have you ever seen an egg from which two yolks come out simultaneously? If you touch any egg at a shop named Sikandar Omelette in Chawri Bazaar, Old Delhi, the owner of that shop, Kale Bhaiya, will take out two yolks from the same egg and show it to you.
Kale Bhaiya, who does egg business, said that he has been in business for about 25 to 30 years. He orders many types of eggs and also makes omelettes of eggs and feeds them to people at his shop. Kale Bhaiya told that it is not a big deal to have two yolks coming out of one egg. A hen lays eggs for 12 months and initially she lays small eggs. Then after that the size of her eggs continuously increases. Only in the last 15 days, she lays such eggs, which if you break, two yolks will come out of them.

Kale Bhaiya told that there are four main varieties of eggs. The first variety is the one which we usually get in the market. It is a farm produced egg, which costs Rs 7. After this comes the variety of desi eggs, which costs Rs 12 in the market. There is also a Kolkata-Madras egg, which costs Rs 18. He told that Kadaknath, black hen’s eggs are also available, which cost Rs 100 and two yolk eggs are also available, whose price ranges between Rs 8 to Rs 10.

To get such eggs, you will have to get down from the Yellow Metro Line at Chawdi Bazar Metro Station. As soon as you come out of Gate No. 1, by any rickshaw, you will reach Sikandar Omelette shop near Sitaram Bazaar, Lal Darwaza in 5 to 6 minutes, where you will get this type of eggs. This shop remains open from 4:00 pm to 11:30 pm. You will find this shop closed only on Tuesdays.
