From the point of view of archaeology, Madhya Pradesh is full of treasures, where fossils of dinosaurs have been found from millions of years ago. 6.5 crore year old dinosaur eggs have been kept in the eco tourism stall in the forest fair organized at Lal Parade Ground in the capital Bhopal. These eggs have been brought here from the Fossil Park of Dhar. Dinosaur eggs have become a center of attraction for the people coming to visit the forest fair.

In the stall of the Eco Tourism Board, fossils millions of years old have been displayed, including two dinosaur eggs. While talking to Local 18, the official of Dhar Fossil Park present at the stall told that these are fossils, which have been brought here from Dhar. These have been kept in the Fossil Park located in Dhar district of the state. DFO LP Bharti said that apart from dinosaur fossils, native herbs have been kept here. These are in the eco tourism stall.

Dinosaurs existed 140 million years ago
A fossil of an egg of a titanosaur dinosaur has been displayed at the fair. Apart from this, two eggs are also located here. According to the information, it had 92 nests which contained 250 eggs. It is said that Titanosaur dinosaurs must have existed on Earth between 145 million to 66 million years ago. Talking about the size of these eggs, it is 65 to 180 mm and the thickness of the egg shells is 0.8 to 2 mm.

Being developed as a tourist center
Dinosaur Fossils National Park is soon to be developed as a tourist centre. Regarding this, Van Vihar National Park, Bhopal has issued a tender to appoint a consultant agency to prepare the DPR (Detail Project Report). Also, 89.4 hectares of land of Dinosaur Fossils Park, which is considered a treasure of biodiversity and fossils. There have been plans for a long time to conserve and develop it.

To make this park more attractive from tourism point of view, Madhya Pradesh Eco Tourism Board, Forest Department and other units have jointly completed the preliminary work. Now a detailed plan is being made to develop it as a tourist centre.
