SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that farmers are victims of neglect in the BJP government. BJP made many big promises to the farmers including doubling their income but did not fulfill any of the promises. This government is not able to provide fertilizers, seeds and other facilities to the farmers.
Farmers need DAP, NPK and other types of fertilizers for sowing potatoes, wheat and other crops, whereas farmers of various districts including Kannauj, Mainpuri and Sambhal are searching for it. There is no fertilizer even in cooperative societies.
Akhilesh issued a statement on Friday saying that Annadata is surrounded by all-round problems in the BJP government. Farmers in Terai districts are suffering from floods. In Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur, farmers as well as common people are in panic and trouble due to wolves and wild animals. Many people have lost their lives in attacks by wild animals. Crops are also suffering huge losses due to stray animals. The government is completely indifferent to the problems of the farmers.
