Akshay Kumar has often been trolled for his Canadian passport. Now the ‘Selfie’ actor has taken a big decision to stop the trolls. Akshay has revealed that he has applied to change his passport.

During a recent interview given to Aaj Tak, Akshay Kumar had said that ‘India is everything for him’. He also said that he used to ‘feel bad’ when jokes were made about his Canadian passport. Akshay said, “India is everything for me. Whatever I have earned, whatever I have got is from here and I am lucky that I got a chance to give back. You feel bad when people say something without knowing anything.”
How did Akshay get the Canadian passport?
During the interview, Akshay Kumar also revealed how he got his Canadian passport. He told that all this happened when more than 15 of his films had flopped at the box office. Akshay said, “I thought, ‘Brother, my films are not working and work has to be done. I had gone there for work. My friend was in Canada and he told me,’ come here.” I applied and I got it. I had only two films left to release and it was just luck that both of them became superhits. My friend said, ‘Go back, start working again.’ I got a few more films and kept getting more work.”
Akshay further says, “I had forgotten that I had a Canadian passport. I never even thought that I should change this passport, but yes, now I have applied to change my passport.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar’s most awaited film ‘Selfie’ has released today. Emraan Hashmi, Nushrat Bharucha and Diana Penty have also played important roles in this film. The comedy-drama film has been directed by Raj Mehta. ‘Selfie’ is the official Hindi remake of the 2019 Malayalam film ‘Driving License’. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar has also started shooting for ‘Hera Pheri 3’ with Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty. He also has ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Tiger Shroff in his pipeline.
