Ingredients for making Kesar Peda
Mawa (khoya) – 2 cups
Saffron – 1/4 tsp
Milk – 1 tsp
Sugar powder – 1/2 cup (as per taste)
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp

How to make Kesar Peda
If you want to make Kesar Peda for Akshaya Tritiya, then first of all put 1 spoon of milk in a small bowl and add saffron to it and mix it well. Now cover the saffron solution and keep it aside. Now put a pan on medium flame to heat it. Mash the mawa in it and put it to roast. Now stir the mawa with the help of a ladle for 7-8 minutes. Mawa has to be roasted till its color turns golden brown. After this turn off the gas.

Now take out the mixture in a plate or tray and spread it and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes, so that the mawa can cool down properly. After the mawa cools down, add sugar powder and cardamom powder to it and mix it well. After this add saffron solution to the mixture and mix it with light hands. Now cover the mixture and keep it in the fridge for half an hour.

After the fixed time, take out the mawa mixture from the fridge and mix it well and knead the dough. Now divide the prepared dough in equal proportion.
