Alexei Navalny Died: Alexei Navalny, a staunch opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin, died under suspicious circumstances on Friday (16 February 2024). Everyone is shocked by Navalny’s sudden demise. He died due to ‘Sudden Death Syndrome’. At present his dead body is being investigated. After the completion of the investigation process, his body will be handed over to his family.
Navalny, 47, was kept in a prison in central Russia. When he was walking in the morning, he suddenly started feeling nervous. He informed the staff about this and after some time he became unconscious. He was immediately given first aid, but by then it was too late. He died in jail itself.
Joe Biden’s statement
Many Western leaders, including US President Joe Biden, have paid tribute to Navalny’s death. These leaders say that current Russian President Vladimir Putin is responsible for Navalny’s death.
After these reactions of Western countries, a statement has come from the Kremlin. He says that the reaction of Western countries on Navalny’s death is quite extreme and unacceptable. Putin’s statement on Navalny’s death has not come out yet.
Lyudmila came to see her son
When Navalny’s 69-year-old mother Lyudmila got the news, she rushed to see her son in the bitter cold of minus 30 degrees Celsius (minus 22 degrees Fahrenheit). Lyudmila received information about Navalny’s death at 2:17 pm (local time 0917 GMT).
“When Alexei’s lawyer and mother arrived this morning, they were told that the cause of Navalny’s death was sudden death syndrome,” Ivan Zdanov, who runs Navalny’s anti-corruption foundation, wrote in a post on the social media platform X.
If we understand sudden death syndrome in simple words, it occurs due to sudden cardiac arrest. Navalny’s activists said that they have not yet received any information as to where the body is. His mother has been told that the body has been taken to Salekhard near the prison complex. However, when she reached the mortuary it was closed.
