Ali Bagheri Kani was previously the Deputy Foreign Minister, after the death of Hossein Amir, he has been appointed the acting Foreign Minister.

Reuters reported that Ali Bagheri Kani is also known as Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator. Ali Bagheri Kani left for Vienna, Austria on August 4, 2022. It is said that nuclear talks took place there in a closed room.
Accident happened while returning from Azerbaijan
In fact, after inaugurating a dam in Azerbaijan, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahiyan and 8 other people were returning to the capital Tehran on Sunday. During the return, the weather became very bad, due to which the President’s helicopter crashed. Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahiyan was also aboard the same helicopter. After the search that started on Sunday, the incident site was revealed on Monday. During investigation, all the people aboard the helicopter were found dead. It is said that there were a total of three helicopters in the President’s convoy, but the helicopter in which the President and the Foreign Minister were traveling crashed.
