In an administrative reshuffle before the Lok Sabha elections, the government has transferred Vice Chairman of Aligarh Development Authority and 2016 batch IAS Atul Vats to the same post in Ghaziabad, while in his place, DM Aligarh Visakh ji’s wife and 2013 batch IAS officer Apoorva Dubey has been transferred. ADA has been made Vice President.
Apoorva Dubey has been a UPSC topper. Apoorva Dubey is originally a resident of Deoria. She is married to IAS officer and DM Vishakh ji. Before becoming ADA Vice President, Apoorva had been posted as DM in Unnao and Fatehpur. Before this, she had also been posted as Special Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office.
On the other hand, ADA Vice President Atul Vats came and took charge in Aligarh on 21 September 2022. He first made tireless efforts to improve the financial condition of the loss-making Aligarh Development Authority and bring it out of losses. During his tenure, he played an important role in implementing Aligarh Transport Nagar, Greater Aligarh Residential Building Construction, Master Plan 2031. Apart from this, continuous action was taken against construction without map and illegal construction in ADA area.
