New SSP Sanjeev Suman, who was transferred from Muzaffarnagar, came to Aligarh late night on 6 January and took charge as Senior Superintendent of Police. After arrival, he met the IG and other officials and got detailed information about the district. Here, when outgoing SSP Kalanidhi Naithani was transferred to the post of Jhansi DIG, he left in the afternoon. The new SSP has also given the message of crime control and better policing.

IPS Kalanidhi Naithani left charge on the afternoon of 6 January and left for new posting. In his place, 2014 batch IPS Sanjeev Suman, who was transferred from Muzaffarnagar, arrived here late night on 6 January. They reached the camp office here. Apart from SP City, SP Rural and SP Traffic, he held a meeting with the three COs of the city and took information. After this he went to meet the IG.

The new SSP will meet the media on January 7. Here, during the meeting with the officials, he discussed the problems and needs of the circle wise district. Also took necessary instructions from IG. He has given the message through social media that crime control, traffic system and law and order will be maintained strong. There will be emphasis on modern policing and scientific investigation. Along with this, the officers are instructed to work for the public with impartiality and honesty and maintain communication.
