The Dhruv Locks Challengers team reached the finals of the ongoing Aligarh Premier League at Aligarh Sports Association ground in Mahua Kheda, Aligarh. Samruddhi Tigers lost by one run in the qualifier match. The final match will be played between Maheshwari Super Kings and Dhruv Locks Challengers on Tuesday.
Dhruv Locks Challengers set a target of 153 for 8 in the 20-over qualifier match scheduled on Monday. Madhav Vashisht scored 38 and Yash Upadhyay scored 27 runs. Samriddhi Tigers bowler Deepak Chaudhary took three wickets and Ajay Solanki took two wickets. Chasing the target, the Samridhi Tigers team could only score 152 runs in 20 overs. He was defeated by one run. Pawan Kumar contributed 67 and Anuj Prem contributed 23. Tanishk Mittal of Dhruv Locks Challengers took two wickets.
Man of the match award to Tanishk Mittal was given by MLC Chowdhary Rishipal Singh and Aligarh Sports Association Secretary Abdul Wahab. Samriddhi Tigers team, which stood third, was awarded by Prof. The Nihar Memorial Trophy was presented by Kalpalata Chandrahas, Principal, Nihar Meera National Senior Secondary School. The final will be played on June 6 between Maheshwari Super Kings and Dhruv Locks Challengers. Yudhveer Singh, Director UPCA will be the chief guest for the final. Arjun Singh Fakira, Sumit Saraf, Sanjay Maheshwari, Masuduzzafar Amini etc were present on this occasion.
