This arrangement will be applicable from the National Inter-State Junior Athletics Meet to be held in Patna from February 10 to 12. The Athletics Federation of India has given this order to the secretaries of all district athletics associations across the country.
District Athletics Association Secretary Shamshad Nisar Azmi said that players from 599 districts across the country are participating in the Junior Athletics Meet, Patna. He said that an online meeting was held in this regard on Sunday, in which Lalit Bhanot, chairman of the planning committee of the federation, told that the players who will be overage in the athletics meet will not be given food and accommodation. Doping and overage players will be closely monitored in the meet.
Shamshad said that orders have also been issued in the meeting that now no player will have to make rounds of the secretary of the Athletics Association for the certificate. Certificates will be sent to the e-mail ID of the player. All players are required to undergo biometric and medical tests. There will be a seminar about doping, in which information will be given to the secretary, coach and manager. Shamshad said that the players will also have to give a letter, in which they themselves will be responsible if overage is found.
