Aligarh SSP Kalanidhi Naithani clearly told the officers in the monthly crime review meeting on Sunday night that no one should be stingy even in registering the case. The SSP said that information about the programs being run for women empowerment should be given in the area through women beat constables. A 15-day special campaign should be launched. Along with the activation of anti-Romeo squad, give information about women power line 1090, women helpline 181, chief minister helpline 1076, police emergency service 112, child helpline 1098, health service 102, ambulance service 108 and police station’s CUG number. .
There should be immediate action on crime against women. Behave sweetly in the police stations. Insist on the compulsion of helmets on two-wheelers, action against vicious and hardcore criminals, confiscation of property etc. Instructions were given for foot patrolling, checking, picket etc. in the markets. Emphasis was laid on public hearing, arrest of the wanted, disposal of pending investigations, verification of criminals.
