Jitendra Kumar of Swarna Jayanti Nagar of Aligarh Metropolitan was in need of money for some important work. They took the ATM card and reached the cabin of the Axis Bank ATM in the area. Before Jitendra, another customer was also leaving disappointed due to lack of money in the ATM machine. When Jitendra tried to withdraw money from the ATM card, it was found that cash was not available in the machine.

Jitendra reached the cabin of Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank, one by one, but he could not find the money anywhere. Distressed Jitendra visited around 10-12 ATMs, but still returned home disappointed for not getting the money. The same happened with Manoj Kumar, a resident of Kishanpur. They also kept roaming on many ATM cabins of the city, but could not get the money anywhere. There were other customers who were wandering here and there in search of money with ATMs.

Most of the ATMs in the city remained empty on Sunday due to the three-day bank holiday. Due to this, the troubled consumers in the city kept on going round the ATM, sometimes this ATM and sometimes that ATM, with their ATM cards. Not only this, if an ATM was in the cabin, the people standing outside would ask him whether he had cash or not. People had to face a lot of problems due to the holiday on Sunday as well since it was the second Saturday of the month after the holiday on Good Friday.
