Expansion

The problem of jam is continuously increasing in smart cities with a population of more than 15 lakhs. Even after spending crores of rupees, the problem of jam is not going away. The situation is worsening due to pushing and shoving on the footpath and illegal encroachments. Roadways buses parked outside Gandhi Park bus stand and e-rickshaws and autos running haphazardly at major intersections are working to spoil the traffic system. The ever-increasing number of vehicles is adding to the problem. Due to all this, there are jam-like situations in the smart city from the intersections to the markets, due to which the residents are troubled.

more problem here

Busiest markets of the city, Mahavirganj, Kanwariganj, Railway Road, Mamu Bhanja, Sarai Hakim, Mirimal ki Pyau, Abdul Karim Chauraha, Uparkot, Dehli Gate, Khair Road, Tanga Stand Agra Road, Padav Dubey etc. remain jammed throughout the day. The main reason for this is that the shops in the markets are 5 to 10 feet outside their limits. The haphazard e-rickshaws and autos are also adding to the problem of jam in the city. There are long traffic jams during school holidays. Some schools located on Ramghat Road do not have parking facilities. Parents and school buses stand outside the schools. There is also the encroachment of the pushers and pushers around.

Buses are parked outside roadways bus stands

Roadways buses are parked outside Gandhi Park, Satellite Bus Stand, Masoodabad Bus Stand, due to which there is a jam-like situation here. E-rickshaws and autos line up around bus stands. Apart from this, there is also encroachment on both sides of the road. As per rules, outstation roadways buses will stand at a distance of 100 meters from the bus stand and drop the passengers there. But the rules are being followed only on paper.

These are the main reasons for jam

  • E-rickshaws and autos running erratically in the city.
  • Parking of vehicles on the side of the road at major intersections.
  • Stray animals roaming the city.
  • Non-fixation of loading-unloading time of vehicles in busy markets.
  • Parents and school buses standing outside schools for hours.
  • Shopkeepers spreading goods outside the shop.
  • Gathering of vehicles in the name of parking outside the shops.
