A case of making a video of a girl with her fiance and making it viral on social media has come to light in a colony of Quarsi police station area of Aligarh metropolis. It is alleged that by showing fear of the video, the accused have blackmailed the girl and extorted thousands of rupees. The victim met the DM in this matter. On the instructions of the DM, the police have started investigation by registering a case against two people at Quarsi police station.
A girl resident of a colony in Quarsi area is studying 12th class from a private college in the area itself. It is alleged that in the past, along with her fiance, she had gone to an acquaintance’s house in Ramnagar of the same area. The acquaintance made the two hug each other by bluffing and secretly made a video of the entire incident with a mobile phone. When the girl came to know about this, she objected to it.
It is alleged that when asked to remove the video from the mobile, the accused fraudulently removed it from the mobile. Meanwhile, the accused gave the video saved in the mobile to Nizam, a resident of Jeevangarh. Nizam and another extorted Rs 50,000 in cash four times while threatening to make the video viral on social media. After a few days again he started asking for 20 thousand rupees. The video was made viral for not giving Rs.
After this, the victim met DM Indra Vikram Singh and pleaded with him for justice. Realizing the seriousness of the matter, the DM directed the Quarsi police to investigate and take action. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused Nizam Alvi and Mantasha. In-charge Inspector Pravesh Rana told that investigation is being done in the matter.
