In the complaint given to the police, Gayatri has said that Deepak works in a gas warehouse located on Khurja Road. He is addicted to drinking alcohol. She often opposes it. On which Deepak quarrels with him and also fights. On Friday too, Deepak started fighting and quarreling in the house since morning. To avoid this, the wife had gone to her maternal home in Aligarh’s Cheeti village. When Gayatri returned from there in the evening, Deepak again started fighting with his wife. One and a half month old daughter started crying after seeing her mother being beaten. That’s why Deepak strangled the innocent with the belt. The girl child died on the spot. On Gayatri’s complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
Did not show remorse, said how does he marry three daughters
The accused was not at all remorseful for his actions. Neighbors told that when Deepak was being arrested and taken away. At that time he told the people that who would marry three daughters. Deepak has three daughters and a son. He started beating Gayatri after the second daughter was born.
Women are blaming alcohol
After the incident, there is anger among the women regarding the open liquor contract in Salian locality. Women have started demanding removal of liquor contract from the locality. The women of the locality are blaming liquor for this incident. Women say that with the permission of liquor contracts in the locality, it becomes easier for men to get liquor. The women told that Deepak used to spend a large part of his earnings on liquor. Due to this, Gayatri had to face trouble in running the household and maintaining the children. For this reason, she used to oppose Deepak’s drinking.
