In Aligarh, a youth from a non-community vandalized the idols on Saturday night when he entered the Shiv temple of Dodpur scheduled population settlement of Civil Lines area with the intention of stealing. This created a ruckus there, although the accused was caught on the spot and handed over to the police. The BJP leaders reacted sharply to this incident that took place on the night of Mahashivaratri and created ruckus by reaching the police station. Just behind the Civil Lines Police Station, there is an ancient Shiva temple in the Scheduled Population Colony. In which Mo. Saif of the area entered on Saturday night with the intention of stealing and he stole from the donation box. Meanwhile, Kunwarpal of the locality caught sight of him, so he raised an alarm. Meanwhile, the accused vandalized the idols in the temple. The public gathered on the noise and the accused was nabbed on the spot. People thrashed him fiercely and handed him over to the police.

The police got the broken idols pasted everywhere. On hearing this news, BJP leader Hemant Garg along with his colleagues reached the police station and met the inspector and expressed his displeasure as to why the new idols were not installed. Here a direct warning was given that if the idols are not changed in the next 24 hours, there will be agitation.

In the case, on the basis of Kunwarpal’s Tahrir, accused Saif has been booked and sent to jail. According to CO III Shiv Pratap Singh, the accused was intoxicated, he has been sent to jail. The idols have not been broken, but have fallen. They have been kept safe.
