According to the family and co-workers, 25-year-old Sanjeev, 24-year-old Monu and Akash, contract sweepers of Krishnapuri Mathia, left for work on Thursday morning. During this, at around nine o’clock, he bought a vial of Kuttu from a tincture ginger sales shop in Hathras Adda and drank it. After some time their condition worsened and other sweepers working there and a fruit seller took all three to the district hospital. Where in some time Sanjeev and Monu were declared dead. On the other hand, when the condition of the third was critical, he was admitted to the nursing home.

According to the senior leader of the society, Pradeep Bhandari, president of Sheoraj Jeevan and Safai Mazdoor Sangh, both the dead bodies were cremated in the evening without informing the police and without postmortem as per the wishes of the family. Both of them told that the death has come to the fore due to excessive drinking of Kuttu.

Police was not informed in this matter. In the evening, the police got information about this incident at the time of the funeral.
