Aligarh city was waterlogged due to rain for two days. Roads were submerged. There was no drainage from many areas till late evening. Once again the reality of the Municipal Corporation’s Smart City project and drain cleaning campaign came to light. Along with waterlogging, pedestrians and drivers had to face problems due to mud and dirt rising on the road. School children also reached their schools drenched due to papers.

Students got stuck in the traffic jam caused by waterlogging. There is waterlogging on Ramghat Road, Meenakshi Bridge, Center Point, Station Road, Shyam Nagar, Chharra Adda Bridge, Surendra Nagar, Ramesh Bihar, Swarn Jayanti Nagar, Naurangabad, Mamu Bhanja, Maris Road, Kela Nagar, Aamir Nisha, Dodpur, Medical Road.
