In the Yatimkhana demolition case, the High Court has canceled the bail granted to Fasahat Ali Khan alias Sanu, a close aide of former minister Azam Khan, from the special court Rampur on July 29, 2020. The court said that the lower court had ordered release on bail ignoring the seriousness of the crimes against the accused and the criminal history of his 21 cases.

The court has ordered the immediate arrest of the accused Fasahat Ali Khan. It has also said that if he files a bail application, then after his arrest or surrender, order should be passed as per rules. Justice DK Singh has given this order while approving the application of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The complainant is a tenant along with his family in the orphanage located at Sarai Gate Rampur. According to the FIR registered at Kotwali, on October 15, 2016 at 4.30 pm, 20 to 30 people including Aale Hasan, Fasahat Ali Khan, contractor Islam came and threatened the complainant to vacate the house. Said cabinet minister Azam Khan will build a school at Orphanage. On protesting, they were forcibly thrown out of the house and looted 20 thousand cash and gold and silver jewelery and two buffaloes. Both the buffaloes are tied in the cowshed of Azam Khan.

Police recovered jewelry from the accused. He also accepted the crime during the deliberations. The court said that 21 criminal cases are registered against Sanu. Due to the intoxication of power, the orphanage was demolished. In this case, the police has filed a charge sheet. The bail was granted by the special court MPML, Rampur. The state government had filed an application in the High Court demanding its repeal.
