Alleging irregularities in the land survey in Bhaiswar village of Ghorawal Kotwali area, the villagers blocked the road on Sunday. The police and revenue department officials who reached the spot immediately stopped the survey and assured action and ended the blockade after two hours.
Former village head Sanjay Yadav, Birju Kushwaha, Gajendra Bahadur Singh, Rampal, Brijesh Kumar, Parmanand etc. who were involved in the demonstration said that in the name of consolidation, huge fraud had taken place in Bhainswar in the year 1980.
The 450 bigha extra land that the land mafia has on paper is not physically present in the village. Some people from the village have illegally registered this land to outside industrialists.
For the past 10 days, the Revenue Department has been carrying out the survey work in the presence of the police force, which has caused anger among the villagers. The villagers were demanding that the survey be stopped. When there was no hearing, they blocked the road at Katra Mode in Bhainswar village on Sunday afternoon.
On receiving this information, Inspector-in-charge Kamlesh Pal, Tehsildar-in-charge Vidit Tiwari, Crime Inspector Shamsher Yadav, Ghorawal outpost in-charge Ajay Srivastava, Revenue Inspector Matru Lal reached the spot with the force. The villagers showed the documents of High Court’s stay on the survey going on in the village.
The officials pacified the villagers by explaining to them and assured them that the High Court order would be followed. On this occasion, Sanjay Yadav, Rampal Patel, Bechu Maurya, Jawahar Biyar, Ramvriksh Kol, Mohan Kol, Munni Kol, Chhote Kol, Babban Maurya, Pankaj Maurya, Ranjit Maurya, Ravindra Maurya etc. were present.
