An ambulance went out of control and overturned near Etah Chungi of Gandhipark police station area in Aligarh late night on 12th October. Five people including a pregnant woman were injured in the accident. Family members allege that the ambulance driver was busy listening to songs on his mobile. The driver and support staff ran away after the accident.

Shahid’s wife Sona, resident of Maqsoodpur of Jalesar police station of Etah, was pregnant. After labor pain, the family took Sona to the primary health center of Jalesar. From where he was sent to the district hospital Etah. From here the doctors referred him to JN Medical College. Shahid, his wife Sona, nephew Armaan, mother Akila Begum, sister-in-law Noor Bano were coming to Aligarh in an ambulance.

Armaan alleges that the driver of the government ambulance was listening to songs on his mobile. Due to this, as soon as the ambulance reached Etah Chungi in Gandhipark area, it went out of control and overturned on the roadside. The driver and support staff ran away after the accident. Hearing the screams, the passers-by broke the glass of the ambulance and took them out and then sent them to the district hospital in a tempo. The area police has admitted all the injured to JN Medical College after first aid.
