United Health Care CEO Murder: A McDonaldâs employee who helped police find Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old suspect who murdered UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is no longer likely to receive a hefty $60,000 reward. Luigi is accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York last week. It is notable that Mangione shot and killed Thompson in the back outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, when a meeting of investors of United Healthcare was going on.
Mangione was arrested on December 9 (Monday) from a McDonaldâs restaurant in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The police were informed by a McDonaldâs employee, after which the police arrested Mangione. Police had launched a major search operation to capture Mangione and appealed to the public for help. After which the New York Police Department had announced a reward of $10,000 for anyone providing information about the suspected accused. On the other hand, as the investigation intensified, the FBI added an additional $50,000 to the reward. It is being told that hundreds of tips were sent to the police.

A McDonaldâs employee said he saw Mangione acting âsuspiciouslyâ in the restaurant and that he appeared to have fraudulent documentation. When police officers arrested him, they found fake ID, a gun, a silencer, clothing, and a mask that matched the one worn by Thompsonâs killer. Mangione has been charged with murder and four other charges.

According to the rules, a McDonaldâs employee will receive the reward amount only if it is forwarded by an investigating agency like the FBI or the Defense Department.
